New and current students are invited to SCTCC on Friday, Jan. 6, noon-2 p.m., for Cyclone Experience.
Campus tours will be available about 12:15 and 1:15 p.m. Students will also be able to learn how to login to email, D2L Brightspace, eServices, and Starfish before they start classes.
This is also a great time to stop and pick up books, figure out where classrooms are and get a parking pass.
This Open House is open to all students, new and returning, and no RSVP or sign-up is necessary. Just show up anytime during the event.

Since winter weather is upon us, it’s a good time to remind everyone about St. Cloud Technical & Community College weather closing procedures. These are also detailed in the SCTCC Student Handbook.
In the event it is necessary to close St. Cloud Technical & Community College due to extreme weather conditions or any other emergency situations, the following procedures will be followed:

Time for lunch! Consolidated Management Company, SCTCC's new food service vendor, is on campus, and they’re ready to feed you breakfast and lunch at Eastview Grill and Commons.
Daily breakfast and lunch food specials are available, as well as a variety of sandwiches, snacks, fruit, vegetables and beverages.
The hours for fall and spring semesters are Monday-Thursday, 7:30 a.m.-4 p.m., and Friday 7:30 a.m.-2 p.m. The Eastview Grill will be closed during summer session.

The SCTCC Department of Safety and Security has launched a new program to register your vehicles on campus. Please visit http://www.sctcc.edu/parking-permits where you will be prompted to enter your Star ID and password. You will then need to acknowledge that you understand SCTCC parking regulations by clicking the check box next to the statement “I acknowledge that I have read and agree with the terms of the current SCTCC parking policies.” (Note: A direct link to the Parking Policy is provided underneath the acknowledgement statement).

St. Cloud Technical & Community College will be moving its email to the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities single-tenant system on June 19, 2016.
The move to the single-tenant system will affect both current students and employees at SCTCC. The move will allow users access to Microsoft Office 365, a cloud-based suite of Office programs, and individual online storage space with one terabyte of storage. Eventually, students will be able to utilize a single email account when taking classes at multiple MnSCU campuses or transferring between campuses.

St. Cloud Technical and Community College Foundation is generously supported by business and industry partners, community members, alumni, staff and faculty. Their generous support provides scholarships which are available to incoming and current St. Cloud Technical and Community College students. Scholarship awards are applied directly to student accounts for tuition and fees only.
The scholarship application for Fall 2016 is currently OPEN.

The Higher Learning Commission is the institutional accrediting association that comprehensively evaluates our college. St. Cloud Technical & Community College is going through the accreditation reaffirmation process this spring.
Your comments about your experiences at SCTCC are very important during the accrediting process. A summary of your input will be provided to the team of representatives from the Higher Learning Commission who will be visiting our college on April 11-13, 2016.
