Our Nursing program makes certain that every student succeeds by combining classroom lectures, simulation labs, clinical activities, and numerous other learning opportunities. We ensure that every Nursing student is prepared for the workforce.
At SCTCC, our program is demanding and rigorous in the scope and depth of study. We prepare our students for real-world challenges so when they leave the classroom they will be ready for any situation. Our nursing program prepares you to engage in the nursing profession providing the foundation to continue to build on in practice.
Successful completion of SCTCC's mobility professional nursing program will allow you to take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN), which is necessary for licensure and practice as a registered nurse (RN). Graduates from the Nursing program have the option to apply to a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program to continue their studies before joining the workforce.
Placement rate from self-reported data of graduates available for work in field of study up to one year post graduation. Wage data is from Minnesota Dept. of Employment and Economic Development (DEED).

SCTCC has an articulation agreement with MSU-Moorhead that will accept all 64 credits of the Mobility Degree towards their online bachelor's of science in nursing 120-credit requirement. This agreement allows students to easily get their first two years done at SCTCC and finish with a BSN from MSU-Moorhead.
This partnership offers students:
- A seamless transfer to MSU-M's RN-BSN major
- Bypass the traditional application process at MSU-M
- Flexibility with 100% online classes
- Complete a BSN at a pace of three semesters to five years
- Fall, Spring, and Summer semester starts
SCTCC is excited to offer Practical Nursing and Associate Degree Nursing students the opportunity to earn their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) in partnership with Grand Canyon University. This Concurrent Enrollment Program (CEP) offers students the chance to complete their entire BSN in a hybrid format, with the majority of classes and practicum being offered in person at SCTCC and healthcare facilities in central Minnesota, while the remaining credits can be completed online through Grand Canyon University in as little as 8 months post-graduation from the SCTCC Associate degree.
