SCTCC instructor Jess Lourey has landed a major book contract.
The Devil in the Dirt Basement will be a fictionalized account of the Jacob Wetterling abduction. Lourey’s book is seen as Megan Abbott meets The Lovely Bones and is a part of a two-book deal with Thomas & Mercer.
Lourey has taught at SCTCC for 10 years in the Liberal Arts division and has published several books, including the Murder-By-Month series and most recently Rewrite Your Life. She’s also a recipient of the The Loft’s Excellence in Teaching fellowship, a blogger for Psychology Today, and has presented at a TEDx.
