Whether you're looking for certifications to give your resume a boost or want to go to college for the first time, St. Cloud Technical & Community College is here to help you toward your next big thing. 

All Ages Welcome

When we think college, 18-year-olds heading to school for the first time. Not the case at SCTCC! Nothing stops our students from getting the education and training they want.

We have students of many ages, from 16 years old taking PSEO classes to senior citizens auditing classes. In fact, more than 1/4 of SCTCC students are older than 25. Nearly 50% are older than 21.

Online Programs

SCTCC offers three programs 100% online so you can get your degree while working full time and/or juggling family obligations. 

Additionally, the Liberal Arts AA degree and some transfer pathways can be done completely online, but there are also on-campus options, too.

Computer Programming

AAS - 60 credits

Learn programming for embedded applications, mobile, web, and databases. You will have opportunities to design and write programs for e-commerce, business applications, network and mobile environments so you are prepared for real-world applications after graduation.

Finance

AAS - 60 credits and Diploma - 54 credits

You will study banking, consumer lending, risk management, accounting, business law, and personal money management. The SCTCC Finance program is for any busy lifestyle.

Health Information Technology & Medical Coding

HIT AAS - 64 credits and Medical Coding Diplome - 44 credits

If you are a person with exceptional attention to detail and critical thinking skills, the Health Information Technology program is perfect for you. We prepare students to serve others through patient registration, medical coding, billing, health data analytics, and the sharing of patient information in a legally compliant manner.

All Degrees & Programs

While an online option works for those who need the most flexibility, several programs offer classes in other flexible formats.

  • Accounting: classes are hybrid, which means you have the option to attend online at classtime, in-person, or online after classtime. 
  • Robotics & Industrial Controls: watch lectures and do coursework online, then find time that works for you during the week to complete lab hours.

Continuing Education

with Customized Training

While Customized Training focuses on organization-wide training, there are also Continuing Education courses available. Some of the online or in-person classes available:

  • Motorcycle Safety Training
  • CPR and First Aid
  • Phlebotomy

Certificates and Diplomas to finish fast

SCTCC has several certificates that can be finished in one semester.

  • Early Childhood Education: 18 credits with online class options and add-on certificates
  • CNC & Advanced Machining: Stackable credentials from 13 to 58 credits
  • Welding: Finish in 8 months - start spring semester in January and finish in August.

A College Degree and Your Future

The data is clear: with a two-year degree, workers have a median wage of $159/week ($8,000 a year) more than workers with a high school diploma. That's an excellent return on investment.  (US Bureau of Labor Statistics)

If you wanted to go even further in your education and transfer to a university, median wage of those with bachelor's degrees is $594/week ($30,00/year) more than those with a high school diploma.
