Tuesday, Nov 5: Knot Tying
Around your home, at school or work, and when you are outside, surprisingly often you need to be able to secure one thing to another thing.
Being able to tie a variety of knots will be useful in all kinds of situations.
Plus, you can bask in being the coolest person you know when you can fluently explain the difference between a clove hitch and a sheet bend! Join us and see what you can do with knots.
Project information, directions, and materials will be available in the library on the assigned day. You can drop by anytime the library is open that day, and work on the project yourself. Or come by at 2:00 when library staff will be available for about an hour to work with you and any other people who come by to work together.
We all know we spend too much time on our devices. But what else is there to do? The library has you covered! We are the source for information.
Join us in our programs to learn some “old fashioned” skills that you can use today. Get out of the digital world for a little while, away from algorithms and influences, and try a project. Have fun, and maybe learn a new skill that will be useful!
Handouts with directions and information will be provided. In person participants will receive materials for each project. Remote participants can use the instruction sheet to find their own materials. Anyone from the SCTCC community is invited to build some skills.
