About William Tuoy-Giel
Dr. William Tuoy-Giel serves as a Director of TRIO Student Support Services at St. Cloud Technical & Community College. He received his doctorate in education with a focus on educational leadership and management from Capella University. He also earned his master’s degree in educational leadership with emphases in community college and higher education from Northern Arizona University, and a bachelor's degree in political science and a minor in family and human development studies from Arizona State University.
Dr. Tuoy-Giel is a National TRIO Student Support Services Program alumnus and full beneficiary. William worked for the Maricopa Community Colleges system in several academic and student affairs roles before coming to St. Cloud Technical and Community College. In addition, he worked in the retail, hospitality, and security sectors in the Phoenix Metropolitan areas as a marketing research assistant for Snell and Wilmer, LLC.
He currently oversees the daily operations of the TRIO Student Support Services office. In addition, he supports and advocates for the success of the students. In his spare time, he enjoys volunteering at neighborhood community-based organizations and spending time outdoors with his family engaging in activities such as hiking, baseball and exercising.
