Cyclones Baseball player Hayden Frank was named to the NJCAA Division III All American 2nd Team for his production and excellence as an outfielder for the Cyclones this season.
Frank, a sophomore from St. Michael, was a force for the Cyclones on the mound, in the batter's box, and in the outfield. He led NJCAA Division III in batting average, hitting .514 at the plate with an on base percentage .609, and a slugging percentage .740.
Frank set a Cyclones Baseball record with 75 hits, which stood since 2012, scored 54 runs, and drove in 44 runs as the primary lead off hitter for the Cyclones. Hayden hit 17 extra base hits: seven doubles, four triples, and six home runs.
While Frank was recognized as an outfielder, he was also a pitcher for the Cyclones. The lefthander went 6-3 this spring over 59 innings. He had a 1.98 ERA and struck out 79 batters. All of these numbers put him among the leaders in the MCAC and in NJCAA Division III.
Hayden becomes the 11th Cyclone Baseball player named as an NJCAA All-American and the 13th time a Cyclone has earned All-American status.
