Greg Thorstad with a softball player

Cyclones Softball has been hitting it out of the park this season. The team is currently ranked 7th in the NJCAA Division III national poll and are 26-8 so far this season. This Friday, they may clinch the conference title with a win.

On top of that, Coach Greg Thorstad won his 400th game as the Cyclones Softball coach. This is Thorstad’s 14th season coaching the team; he’s led them to seven conference titles and six NJCAA National Tournaments. Along the way, the team has consistently been ranked nationally, and he’s coached several MCAC All-Division and All-Conference players, as well as NJCAA All-American and Academic All-American players.

David Kroeger, Cyclones Baseball Coach, also hit a milestone with his 100th win. Kroeger has been coaching for four seasons. Baseball is 19-13 this season with five more teams to play.

Softball plays against four more teams this season. They play next on Friday, April 25 at Minnesota West. The regional tournament will take place in early May to determine which team will play in the NJCAA national tournament.
