SCTCC Softball Cyclone Sami Petzel was named an NJCAA Division III Second Team All-American.
Petzel, a first year from Arlington, was named to the team as an outfielder. Petzel led the Cyclones in hits with 57, including nine doubles and seven triples. She also scored 53 runs and drove in 43 during the Cyclones’ 44 games this season. Additionally, Petzel stole 19 bases through the season.
During the season, she was the everyday right fielder, where she had 30 outputs and three outfield assists, all while committing zero errors.
Petzel is the Cyclones’ 12th NJCAA All-American. All-Americans are selected by the NJCAA Division III Softball Committee.
