Student Learning Outcomes
An audit is an examination of financial statements to determine the accuracy and add credibility to the financial statements. This course is designed to provide students with an understanding of audit objectives and standards. Standards, ethics, and legal responsibilities of the public accounting profession, as well as preparation of audit reports and a simulated audit project are emphasized.

- Differentiate between the professional, ethical and legal responsibilities of a public accountant.
- Explain the process involved in evaluating and selecting audit clients.
- Apply the generally accepted auditing standards that are required to
perform a successful audit. - Prepare various audit reports that may be filed after the audit based on the audit findings.
- Perform specific audit procedures on financial statements within a
simulated audit project.
