Student Learning Outcomes
Students will develop skills servicing fuel and emission systems. Lab work consists of diagnosis and repair procedures on fuel, computer, and emission systems on late model vehicles. Students should be able to describe system operation and perform fuel system service in accordance with manufacturer's standards. Students will learn to describe computer and sensor operation and perform computer system service in accordance with manufacturer's procedures. Students will also need to accurately document vehicle information and work performed on repair orders.Student Learning Outcomes
- Demonstrate job entry skill development when performing basic diagnosis of engine systems.
- Demonstrate use of a 4/5 exhaust gas analyzer.
- Perform computer component service and repairs using scan data.
- Perform inspection and repair procedures on fuel systems.
- Perform inspection and repair procedures of engine control sensors.
- Perform diagnosis and repair of Evaporative Emission Control (EVAP) systems in accordance with manufacture's standards.
- Perform diagnosis and repair of Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) systems in accordance with manufacture's standards.
- Perform diagnosis and repair of AIR and Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) systems in accordance with manufacture's standards.
- Document vehicle data and work performed on repair order.
