Student Learning Outcomes
This course is an introduction to the Mastercam software. Students will gain an understanding of computer assisted CNC (computer numeric controlled) programing software. A guided lab approach to construction of 2D geometry and toolpaths for lathe and router applications will be used. Students will operate CNC equipment in a lab setting, while exercising safe lab practices.Student Learning Outcomes
- Manipulate basic 2D geometry for lathe and router milling machine using Mastercam software.
- Input data for tool selection, speeds and feeds of machines.
- Develop tool paths for u router and lathe
- Generate basic g-codes using post processors for a router and lathe.
- Produce projects using CNC router and lathe.
- Apply safe practices when using lab equipment.
