Student Learning Outcomes
This course covers the knowledge and skills required to calibrate, install, and maintain process control instruments, actuators, operator interface, and controllers. Students practice calibrating, and installing instruments, tuning controllers, and use test equipment to analyze process control systems.Student Learning Outcomes
- Calibrate temperature, pressure, flow, and level transmitters.
- Perform routine maintenance on control valves and actuators.
- Interpret and draw piping and instrumentation diagrams.
- Configure operator interface and data acquisition programs.
- Configure and install process control loops.
- Perform loop tuning on basic control loops.
- Demonstrate flow loop data acquisition and correctly wire.
- Perform routine maintenance on instrument air systems.
- Identify and apply appropriate safety procedures.
