Student Learning Outcomes
This course is designed to provide information and practical application of the seven domains of
wellness. Each student will receive relevant information on how to live a happier, healthier life using
the Seven Domains (Physical, Emotional, Intellectual, Interpersonal, Spiritual, Environmental, and
Financial/Occupational). The interconnectedness of these domains will be discussed, with a special
emphasis on how a deficiency in one domain can negatively influence the other domains. Finally, the course will provide information for students to design their own wellness plan.Student Learning Outcomes

- Analyze wellness, fitness, and the parameters that comprise good physical health.
- Explain cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength, muscular endurance and flexibility as
important components of fitness and healthy body composition. - Analyze personal diet to identify what changes would conform to healthy lifestyle principles.
- Identify the risk factors and warning signs for various forms of cancer, diabetes, and heart
disease. - Identify potential stressors on the body and strategies to reduce stress.
- Design a personalized plan with goals for developing and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
- Examine the meaning and interconnectedness of the seven domains of wellness.
