Student Learning Outcomes
This course advances the geometry creation techniques covered in Computer Assisted Machining (CAM) I. 3D geometry creation is used extensively as well merging 3D models. More advanced design and toolpath techniques are covered. Geometry creation for the lathe will be covered. This geometry will be required for Computer Numeric Control (CNC) Turning centers.
Student Learning Outcomes:
Student Learning Outcomes:
- Create two dimensional lines and arcs of part geometry silhouette needed for turning.
- Modify two dimensional geometry, deleting, chamfering, and filleting.
- Create G and M code NC code with Post Processor.
- Create 3D Solid part model using: Revolve, Extrude, Fillet, and Boolean operators.
- Generate toolpaths from 3D solid models.
- Apply CAM high feed functionality.
- Create tool lists and active reports for set-up documentation.
