Student Learning Outcomes
Adobe Photoshop is a complex graphics and image editing software. Students will learn the most commonly used commands and techniques for obtaining consistent, predictable, high-quality images. Using the creative tools of the software, students learn how to select pixels in images, use layers, color correct images and to apply layer styles and filters to create special effects. In addition, students will learn how to create and save images in for print and digital use.

- Explain differences between appropriate uses of color modes and graphics.
- Identify tools in the photoshop interface.
- Select appropriate resolutions and sizes for file output.
- Examine the sue of the software's tools to properly edit images.
- Arrange images using multiple layers.
- Apply effects to create realistic composites.
- Create and format text using type effects and styles.
- Prepare images to be saved in a variety of file formats.
