Cyclones Softball player Jenna Boos of Cold Spring was named the MCAC South Division Softball Player-of-the-Year.
Boos is a pitcher and infielder for the Cyclones, and this season threw two shutouts, struck out 118 batters, and allowed only 52 walks.
She hit .320 at the plate and scored 34 runs, driving in 30 runs. She was ranked third in the MCAC South Division in home runs and sixth in the division in stolen bases with 19.
Boos topped the MCAC South All-Division First Team, followed by Lexie Tatro, and included Callie Elg. The Second Team included Jordyn Clapp, Ella Janzen, Tyra Myers, and Kennedy Biegler.
Coach Greg Thorstad shared Coach of the Year status with Rochester.
The All-MCAC Team included Boos, Tatro, and Elg.
The Cyclones Softball team finished up the season at the NJCAA Region XIIIA Tournament in Rochester held May 9-10 after sharing the MCAC Southern Division title. Overall, the Cyclones were 20-19, 12-2 in conference.
