After a semester of learning wiring skills in the on-campus labs, Electrical students took their knowledge on the road and gave back to the community.
Two houses, one in St. Cloud and one in Sartell, needed wiring to become someone’s home. St. Cloud Housing and Redevelopment Authority and Habitat for Humanity had houses located on city lots, giving student the real-life experience of being on the job site.
“You could really see the pride the students took in wiring these houses,” noted instructor Craig Fischer.
Construction program students have opportunities like this occasionally, from working on tiny houses for local churches to Habitat for Humanity homes. SCTCC students go above and beyond basic skills!
