Student Learning Outcomes
In this course we will combine AC and DC theory with a focus on safety and troubleshooting. The course will work with examples and labs based on components and concepts that relate to what would be experienced by the biomedical technician.Student Learning Outcomes
- Interpret basic electrical schematics
- Differentiate between digital and analog circuitry
- Analyze series and parallel circuits using Ohms law.
- Test electrical power sources for function and isolation.
- Demonstrate troubleshooting and test equipment skills.
- Apply electrical safety and circuit protection
- Demonstrate a safety-first mindset for the workplace
- Demonstrate properly measuring electrical voltage, current, and resistance.
