Student Learning Outcomes
This is a general First Aid and CPR course; it is intended for the lay public, as well as the trades and industry. This course will cover first aid care and treatment of adults and children, including CPR, shaken baby syndrome and sudden unexpected infant death (SUID/SIDS). This course is taught to the standards of the American Heart Association.Student Learning Outcomes
- Describe how and when to access the EMS system
- Perform CPR and Choking intervention for adults, children and infants according to the latest standards of the American Heart Association
- Provide treatment for common injuries and illnesses, including strokes and myocardial infarctions
- Apply proper personal protective equipment (PPE) at appropriate times
