SCTCC's Finance Program Named best Associate's Degree

The SCTCC Finance program was named third best overall and was noted as the Best Associate’s Degree in Online Finance by Intelligent.com.

Intelligent.com provides guides and research for students to make informed decisions about college and university programs and majors.

Out of 170 schools to offer a Finance degree, 45 made it to the final list, with SCTCC coming out third overall with a score of 97.91 out of 100 and rated the best option for two-year online finance degrees. The scoring criteria include: curriculum quality, graduation rate, reputation, and post-graduate employment. Additional calculations for the ranking include student engagement, return on investment, and third-party evaluations.

Sandra Schimek is the faculty program director for Finance at SCTCC: "I am excited that SCTCC's Finance Program has earned such a high ranking among the top online finance degree programs at Intelligent.com,” she said. “I think SCTCC's Associate’s Degree for Finance has developed into a very well-rounded program. Our students have the ability to learn about the many different sections of the finance industry, giving them the ability to find the finance area they are most interested in developing their careers."
