Tour Guides

Students in the Marketing & Design and Marketing Sales Management programs got a taste of the inner workings in the beverage industry when they toured Bernick's of St. Cloud on April 20.

Instructors Sheryl Workman and Becky Shand took more than 40 students to the beverage distributor that champions its customer service and community partnerships. Students were introduced to the topics of entrepreneurship, supply chain management, management, marketing, marketing design, sales, product distribution, and more.

The Bernick's tour guides included Eve Miller, Marketing Director; Rick Clubb, Supply Chain Manager; Jen Slattery, Graphic Design Manager; and Tom Erickson, Warehouse and Facility Manager. Students also met one of the fifth-generation family members, Tara Bernick, daughter of Dean Bernick, CEO of Bernick's.

"This was such a unique opportunity for the students to get an inside look at Bernick's operations," said Workman. "This experience allowed the students a chance to see what day to day looks like at a company, everything from operations to marketing. Being able to get a feel for this industry got the students excited for their futures!"
