Late Spring semester, students in two environmental courses presented their research findings at SCTCC's second Environmental Science Research Symposium.
In the semester leading up to the symposium, students selected environmental issues to study ranging from how population density affects CO2 to how to build a wind turbine. Then, working in pairs, the students collected data and conducted research to answer their research questions.
Each pair of students summarized their findings on a poster board, which they presented to students, faculty and staff, and members of the community who attended the symposium.
