Teaching is tough for everyone. Some days it’s great; some days the tech breaks, the students forget everything in the syllabus, and it’s just all too frustrating.

Even in the best of times, we all want to be better at teaching. It can be hard to find new ideas to shake up a class you have taught many times, or to figuring out how to solve a specific problem.  Listening to podcasts can be an easy way to learn new ideas from other people. It’s a low-stress way to pick up ideas, and can bring ideas you had not considered yet!

Try a few of these. They talk about teaching, and about life in community colleges. I often share these, or links to articles on teaching and learning, on the library’s Twitter account.

And if you like the idea of podcasts, but are looking for some other issues, email me any time and I’ll find something for you!

If you would like to have some other resources on teaching and learning – books, articles, videos, podcasts – please reach out! I can help you find material in your specific subject area, to be sure you are connecting with ideas, and people, who will be useful to you.
