

SCTCC is happy to announce the hiring of Alberto Ramos in the position of Vice President of Community, Culture, and Institutional Climate.
Ramos brings extensive experience in advancing equitable student success and employee belonging efforts. Prior to SCTCC, he served as the Director of the IDEA Center at Plymouth State University in Plymouth, N.H., after several years’ experience at fellow Minnesota State colleges and universities. He is also a double alum of St. Cloud State University and currently pursuing a doctorate at the University of Colorado Denver.
“I am thrilled to be joining the SCTCC community and returning to a community that has meant so much to me," shared Ramos. "I look forward to working alongside the community to advance belonging efforts.”
The Vice President of Community, Culture, and Institutional Climate will provide leadership in cultivating inclusive and welcoming environments so that all students, faculty, staff, and community members experience a sense of belonging at SCTCC.
“Alberto has demonstrated a deep commitment to fostering equitable learning environments, strengthening institutional response efforts, and collaborating with students, faculty, and staff on campus-wide student success and belonging initiatives. His values and experience align closely with SCTCC’s mission and vision, and he will be a tremendous asset to our community,” said President Lori Kloos.
Ramos started on Aug. 20, Employee In-service Day, to prepare for the fall semester start. Classes started at SCTCC on Monday, Aug. 25.
