St. Cloud Technical & Community College (SCTCC) is proud to announce that 99% of its 2025 graduates who were seeking employment in their field successfully started their career. The 99% rate is the highest of all universities and colleges in the Minnesota State system.

All institutions in Minnesota State survey graduates within one year after graduation to determine if they have found a job or are pursuing something else. Graduates have the option to choose if they have attained a job in their field, are still looking for work, or have attained a job not in their field. Each institution must achieve at least an 85% response rate.

“These results reflect the strong preparation of our graduates and SCTCC’s ability to respond to employers’ needs,” share Lisa Mohr, Career Services Coordinator. “We’re pleased to see our graduates’ success recognized in the system-wide placement data.”

The collaboration and responsiveness of SCTCC to the region’s needs is vital to preparing students for careers in the area. By ensuring the programs offered match jobs that are needed, graduates have many opportunities when the graduate. Many employers in the St. Cloud community will offer students jobs while they are still taking classes.

Additionally, SCTCC’s Career Services office has reworked the long-time Job Fair to provide a better experience for students and employers. Career Connections are offered throughout the academic year to bring together job opportunities in the area and future graduates who will be entering the job market.

“It's a team effort,” noted Mohr.  “The programs we offer, the students who choose to go here, the community and our wonderful employer partners, and all the SCTCC faculty as well as staff.”

SCTCC’s placement percentage rate has been in the high 90s for many years, and the College continues to cultivate partnerships in the region to ensure students receive the education and training they need to reach their goals, as well as ensure the St. Cloud community’s growth.
