Student Learning Outcomes
Meets MN Transfer Curriculum Goal Area 6: The Humanities and Fine Arts. This course introduces students to the computer as a means for the creation of fine art projects. Students will create art using the computer as their medium, gaining exposure to different types of digital media. The elements of art and principles of design will be incorporated into studio projects, discussions, and assignments. Student Learning Outcomes
- Engage in the creation of creative digital art and design projects.
- Articulate informed personal reactions to works of art.
- Respond critically to artworks including aesthetic quality, cultural significance, and/or historical context.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the scope of artworks in the digital genre.
- Identify the elements of art and principles of design.
- Apply the elements of art and principles of design to digital art and/or design projects.
- Demonstrate technical skills by successfully completing digital art projects and assignments.
- Develop unique and innovative solutions to digital art assignments and projects by using conceptual thinking.
