Student Learning Outcomes
This course will provide the student with an understanding of aircraft manufacturer's manuals, publications, and forms used in aircraft maintenance such as maintenance manuals, illustrated parts catalogues, maintenance records, equipment lists, and discrepancy records. Airline Air Transport Association (ATA) codes will also be covered. Student Learning Outcomes
- Complete a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Form 337 for a major repair or alteration.
- Determine an aircraft's inspection status by reviewing the aircraft's maintenance records.
- Complete an aircraft maintenance record entry for the compliance of a reoccurring Airworthiness Directive (AD) for a specific airframe, aircraft engine, appliance, or propeller.
- Complete an aircraft maintenance record entry for return to service.
- Determine approved replacement parts for installation on a given aircraft.
- Determine the conformity of aircraft instrument range markings and placarding.
- Use a manufacturer's illustrated parts catalog to locate a specific part number and applicability.
- Complete a 100-hour inspection aircraft maintenance record entry.
- Inspect aircraft for compliance with an AD.
