This course will cover the terms, processes, and procedures for performing weight and balance on aircraft. Determining center of gravity, calculating weight and balance after an equipment change and updating all relevant records and logs will be included.Student Learning Outcomes

• Perform weight and balance calculations.
• Calculate ballast weight shift and required weight location.
• Check aircraft weighing scales for calibration.
• Calculate weight and balance for an aircraft after an equipment change.
• Compute forward and aft loaded Center of Gravity (CG) limit.
• Create a maintenance record for a weight and balance change.
• Compute the empty weight and empty weight CG of an aircraft.
• Calculate the moment of an item of equipment.
• Determine an aircraft?s CG range using aircraft specifications, Type Certificate Data Sheets (TCDSs), and aircraft listings.
• Calculate a weight change and complete required records.
