This course equips students with the essential skills and knowledge for the effective inspection, troubleshooting, and maintenance of aircraft fuel systems. Topics such as bladders, valves, quantity indicating systems, and operating instructions will be covered.Student Learning Outcomes
- Inspect, check, troubleshoot, or repair a fuel system.
- Inspect a metal, bladder, or integral fuel tank.
- Troubleshoot and repair aircraft fuel system.
- Inspect a fuel selector valve.
- Inspect and check manually operated fuel valves for proper operation and leaks.
- Troubleshoot a fuel valve problem.
- Drain fuel system sump(s).
- Service a fuel system strainer.
- Inspect a fuel quantity indicating system.
- Locate fuel system operating instructions.
- Locate fuel system inspection procedures.
- Locate fuel system cross feed procedures.
- Locate fuel system required placards.
- Locate fuel system defueling procedures.
- Troubleshoot fuel pressure warning system.
- Locate troubleshooting procedures for fuel temperature systems.
- Remove and/or install a fuel quantity transmitter.
- Troubleshoot fuel quantity indicating system.
