Student Learning Outcomes

This course focuses on the essential skills and knowledge required for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing aircraft engine induction, lubrication, and cooling systems.

Student Learning Outcomes:
  • Inspect an oil cooler or oil lines.
  • Inspect an oil filter or screen.
  • Perform oil pressure adjustment.
  • Identify oil system flow.
  • Troubleshoot an engine oil pressure malfunction.
  • Troubleshoot an engine oil temperature system.
  • Inspect a carburetor heat system.
  • Inspect an alternate air valve for proper operation.
  • Inspect a turbocharger for leaks and security.
  • Inspect reciprocating engine cooling ducting (rigid or flexible) or baffle seals.
  • Perform an induction and cooling system inspection.
  • Repair a cylinder baffle.
