The study of anatomy of the adult heart, basic embryology, cardiac physiology, the functions of circulation, coronary circulation, and an introduction to cardiac hemodynamics. Student Learning Outcomes
- Identify the normal anatomy of the adult heart.
- List anatomical variants of the human heart.
- Identify sonographic appearances of the normal cardiovascular system.
- Describe blood flow and electrical conduction through the heart.
- List the major stages of fetal cardiovascular development.
- Name the coronary arteries and distributions.
- List heart valve anatomy and the functions.
- Define normal heart and vascular measurements.
