This course provides instruction on advanced echocardiographic procedures. Students will learn about procedures, applications, interpretation, and technical report writing related to echocardiographic studies.Student Learning Outcomes

• Describe the procedures and applications of stress echocardiography.
• Identify alternate diagnostic modalities and their correlation with echocardiography.
• Demonstrate the ability to write technical reports based upon the findings of the echocardiographic exam.
• Identify normal and abnormal cardiac rhythm strips.
• Discover the basic principles of EKG interpretation.
• Identify cardiac arrhythmias on a rhythm strip.
• Discuss pharmacology as it relates to echocardiographic studies.
• Identify IV administration techniques.
