Student Learning Outcomes

This course will enable students to analyze solid state devices and applications. Students will assemble solid state devices using diodes, rectifiers, filters, and transistors. In this course, students will develop basic skills in monitoring motor control situations with Program Logic Controllers (PLC's) . Students will write PLC logic, program, and wire PLCs.

STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOMES:
  • Demonstrate approved safety practice in all lab projects.
  • Analyze solid state devices.
  • Identify solid state device applications in industry.
  • Interpret one lines and program various PLC's.
  • Outline operating procedure of PLC's.
  • Evaluate variable frequency driver controls and circuits.
