Student Learning Outcomes
This course is designed to provide developmental mathematics instruction and essential foundational skills for students enrolled concurrently in a linked section of MATH 1351 Statistics. Topics will parallel topics being studied in MATH 1351. This course explores and establishes a connection between mathematical or statistical concepts and practical world questions through application problem solving. It will focus on developing critical thinking ability, improving analytical skill and enhancing quantitative literacy. This is a college readiness course and does not fulfill a college goal area requirement.Student Learning Outcomes
- Represent quantitative information, quantitative relationships, and mathematical concepts using appropriate mathematical notation
- Describe mathematical and statistical concepts and processes using appropriate language for the context
