Student Learning Outcomes
Technical Theatre Practicum 1 provides students the opportunity to see the inner workings of a production from the backstage perspective. Through a hands-on experience with GREAT Theatre, students will gain insight into the technical aspects of theatre by working alongside lighting, scenic, sound, properties, costume, and stage management professionals during tech week of a GREAT production (the final two weeks of rehearsal leading to opening night of a production). This course provides an artistic and practical foundation for the Technical Theatre Practicum AA degree as students are introduced to the responsibilities and processes of preparing for a live theatrical production by working on an actual production crew. In this course students will spend 100 hours under the guidance of GREAT Theatre professionals. Student Learning Outcomes
