The SCTCC Auto Body students have an extra certification under their belts when they graduate. For the third year, students received training on windshield installation from Dow Automotive Systems with trainer Perry Johnson.
From January to March, students learn to remove and install stationary glass in front and back windshields. As an additional bonus for students, Dow Automotove Systems trains students with the adhesive that is used to hold the windshield on the vehicle. The adhesive is OEM approved, and when the training is complete, students take a test to receive the certification, after which they receive a certificate and patch. The certification will be a plus when students are finding a job in the field.
