St. Cloud Technical and Community College is off to a strong start to the 2017 softball season, and one need only look at the strong Cyclone pitching performances to see the reason for that success. One of those pitchers was literally "un-hittable" recently, and that performance has led to Pitcher-of-the-Week honors.
Shania Kinghorn, a sophomore pitcher at St. Cloud Technical & Community College, has been named the MCAC South Pitcher-of-the-Week for her performances over the week of March 20-27th. The St. Michael - Albertville product went 2-0 on the week for the Cyclones, including hurling a no-hitter against NJCAA Division II opponent Dakota County Technical College. Overall, she had a 1.07 ERA, allowing only two hits in her outing against Itasca Community College. St. Cloud has won ten straight games and heads into more MCAC play this week with match-ups against Rainy River, Itasca and Ridgewater on the docket.
