There’s a lot of privilege with what I’ve got going on that a lot of people maybe don’t have.

I felt like I needed to do something hands-on, so I went to a starter welding course. I saw the robot here and did a few welding practices, and then I kind of fell in love with welding.

The willingness to actually learn a trade - it's turning around now. I know a lot of people who went to school but aren’t working in that field. Trades is literally – you're learning exactly what you're going to be doing out in the real world when you get a job.

Starting with the two-year college just seems to be the right fit for a lot of people.

She should take every opportunity to do something that is presented to her. That is what spurred me through my career.

There’s a lot of opportunities with welding.

I’ve been loving meeting new people every day. Everybody is so welcoming here, and it’s really cool because you can learn different points of view and perspectives of people from all over.
