Student employment on campus is available for students who qualify for work study. This option is noted on financial aid award letters.
To check your eligibility:
Log into eservices and check your financial award notification. If it has a $1 Work Study Eligibility award listed, you can apply for work study positions!
To find a work study position:
- Visit College Central to view online job postings.
- Contact the Career Services Coordinator if you need any accommodations in this process
- To apply for a work-study job, you can use a paper application in the Career Center or an online fillable form. Email the completed application to the Career Center, and the Career Center will submit your application to the hiring department.
- If the department is interested in you, they will contact you for an interview.
- When you are offered the position, you will need to complete new hire paperwork with Financial Services. Once that is processed, you and the supervisor will create an agreed-upon work schedule (not more than 20 hours per week during the school year).
Work Performance Expectations
Work study is a real job that serves SCTCC's students, faculty and staff, as well as our community at large. As such, students are required to meet work performance expectations that relate to dress code, safety, attendance, appropriate communication, and quality of work.
