How it Works
- Camp for kids entering 3rd - 6th grade in the fall.
- The camp is led by college staff and instructors and mentored by a variety of college students.
- Campers will learn how robots and technology work by building robots for a game challenge, build their confidence with technical skills, and work in teams to develop life and employability skills. Additionally, campers will get a brief introduction to manufacturing and tour SCTCC Manufacturing lab space.
- They will have fun showing off their skills at the end of the week with a friendly competition! The families of campers are encouraged to come and cheer them on!
*Note about Middle/High School STAR Camp
For Summer 2025, SCTCC will transition from hosting the traditional STAR Camp for Middle and High School students to offering a week-long manufacturing camp, without the VEX Robotics component. More information about this camp will be available in winter 2024/2025.
