Cyclones Softball and Baseball are mid-season and making moves in the NJCAA Division II national stage.
Softball Cyclone Keeli Doran, a first year from Owatonna, was named player of the week for March 10. Doran hit .537 on the week, going 7 for 13 at the plate, and hitting one triple. She drove in five runs and scored two. Doran stole four bases and walked twice.
Cyclones Softball is current 23-7 overall and 9-1 in conference. They are seventh in the NJCAA DIII national rankings.
Cyclones Baseball player Josh Kingery, a first year from Atwater, was named Pitcher of the Week for both March 18 and April 8. The left-handed pitcher threw 4.1 innings without giving up a run and struck out seven batters with one walk during the March 30 game against Minnesota State.
Cyclones Baseball is current 22-6-1 overall and 7-1 in conference. They are ranked eighth nationally in the NJCAA DIII.
