St. Cloud Technical & Community College has been named the 17th best community college in the nation by WalletHub for 2023. The high ranking indicates how SCTCC provides a quality education at a low cost for the benefit of the Central Minnesota community and beyond.

With rising inflation, students are choosing lower-cost education and training options that provide stable career opportunities. WalletHub indicated that the nationwide average tuition and fees for two-year colleges is $3,860 per year; SCTCC’s tuition and fees per year is below the average at $3,037.

WalletHub selected 668 schools from the American Association of Community Colleges and evaluated them based on 19 metrics across cost and financing; education outcomes; and career outcomes. SCTCC was ranked 389 in cost, 187 in outcomes, and 10 in career outcomes. You can see the entire methodology at this link.

The Minnesota State system that includes all the community and technical colleges in the state was ranked the fifth-best system in the country. Four Minnesota colleges were included in the top 50, including SCTCC.

WalletHub is a personal finance company owned by Evolution Finance, Inc.
