SCTCC’s website launched its new design on May 30, 2023, and since then it has won two awards for its design and organization.
In October 2023, SCTCC.edu won a silver award for Institutional Website from Education Digital Marketing Awards, which recognizes outstanding achievements in digital marketing in the education sector.
A panel of judges consisting of education marketers, creative directors, marketing and advertising professionals evaluated more than 1,000 entries from higher education institutions, including websites, digital content, electronic communications, mobile media, and social media. In March 2024, SCTCC.edu won a bronze Paragon Award for website from the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations (NCMPR). More than 1,500 entries were received from 210 community and technical colleges in 47 categories. A complete list of winners can be viewed at the NCMPR website.
Marketing Department members Julianne Quandt and Kate Wallace accepted the award in person at the national conference held March 14-16.
The website redesign was a two-year process from the initial Request for Proposal to launch and was prompted by the need to upgrade the content management system. It included input from across many departments and from students to ensure a comprehensive user experience.

With the launch, continuous improvement of the site is an ongoing process, and the team works to ensure that the website provides a seamless experience for visitors.
