Steve Nusbaum was recently recognized at the Minnesota Manufactured Awards Banquet where he received two awards – Statewide Tour Regional Champion and Statewide Tour Outstanding Partner.
The second annual banquet was held on Thursday, May 22, at Lake Superior College in Duluth with more than 125 people attending. The evening recognized manufacturers, educators, workforce development professionals, and students who contributed to the success of the Statewide Tour promoted by the Minnesota State Advanced Manufacturing Center of Excellence.
During October—Manufacturing Month—the Center of Excellence provides opportunities for students, teachers, and the public to visit manufacturing partners throughout the state. At the banquet, key metrics from the 2024 tour were shared:
- 4,095 K-12 students attended a tour
- 9,714 total people attended a tour
- 191 employers participated
- 668 manufacturing tours
With his knowledge and connections in the community, Nusbaum was instrumental to promoting SCTCC and the Advanced Manufacturing Center during the 2024 Statewide Tour.
"Steve is one of those rare people who sees connections between everything and everyone. He plays a crucial role in sharing SCTCC's manufacturing story with the broader St. Cloud community and greater Minnesota overall. Steve is a worthy recipient of this recognition and a tremendous ambassador for SCTCC!" said Dean of Skilled Trades and Industry, Steve Hoemberg.
