On Friday, July 11, the SCTCC Foundation and Cyclones Athletics hosted the tenth annual Haller Golf Tournament at Wapicada Golf Course.
The event drew a record number of participants—more than 150— which helped raise more than $15,000 for Cyclones Athletics. Even though a string of thunderstorms rolled through in the afternoon, pausing play, golfers were able to finish out the 18 holes if they so chose.
The tournament is held in honor of John Haller, a long-time Athletics Director at SCTCC who passed away in 2013 after a short battle with cancer. The John Haller Legacy Scholarship Fund provides scholarships to student athletes and is now funded into perpetuity.
The tentative date for next year’s tournament is July 10.
