
Aviation Camp is a partnership between the National Center for Autonomous Technologies (NCAT) and SCTCC. Students in 4th to 12th grade have the exciting opportunity to explore the fundamentals of flight and aerospace technology through hands-on learning and practical activities. Participants will be introduced to topics such as drones and autonomous systems programming, giving them a glimpse into the future of aviation. Middle & High School age students will engage in traditional skills like drilling and riveting sheet metal, learning essential engineering techniques, and understanding the importance of safety within the aviation field. This camp is designed to spark curiosity, build technical skills, and inspire students' interest in the diverse and dynamic world of aviation and aerospace.
How it works
- Campers entering 4th – 12th grade in the fall 2025
- The camp is led by college instructors and mentored by a variety of industry professionals and college students.
