Know a new driver? Students age 16 - 18 will learn how vehicles work, easy maintenance and enjoy a field trip to a local industry partner. Must have a valid drivers license and access to a vehicle.

How it Works

  • Students age 16 – 18 by the first day of camp
  • The camp is led by college instructor and mentored by college students
  • Campers will learn about how vehicles work, easy maintenance and upkeep and participate in an industry tour. Activities may include:
    • Changing the oil and filter
    • Safety inspection
    • How to use a jack and jack standards
    • Tire rotation
    • Brake inspection
    • Measure battery voltage/alt output
    • Learn to drive a manual transmission vehicle
