On March 28, 184 area employers crowded the River’s Edge Convention Center to seek out SCTCC students and alumni who were interested in jobs.

This year marked the 29th Annual Job Fair, and it was a rousing success. It’s estimated 500 students attended the fair to make connections with employers.

According to Jackie Bauer in SCTCC Career Services, this is the largest job fair in the state for an individual college. The area’s employers and job market have been the driving force behind the job fair.

“Their support of SCTCC is what makes the difference, and because of them, makes our students and graduates successful,” said Bauer.

Comments about the Job Fair have been very positive from both students and employers. “I just wanted to let you know that the fair today was great! I talked to some great potential applicants. It was very organized and was run so smoothly,” one employer told Bauer.

Current students and SCTCC alumni are always welcome to the Job Fair. A shuttle runs between the college and River’s Edge Convention Center during the event, so it’s easy to drop in for a little bit before heading to classes.

Next year marks the 30th Annual Job Fair, along with the College’s 70th anniversary.
