SCTCC Heating, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration students swept the HVAC/R skill contest at the 2017 SkillsUSA Minnesota State Conference held March 31-April 2.
John Clemmer, from Grasston, MN, placed first; Jacob Thell, from Holdingford, MN, placed second; and Spencer Slade, from Foreston, MN, placed third.
"The students’ success was well deserved, they worked hard, had great attitudes, and I am proud of their accomplishments," said Randy Kidder, HVAC/R Instructor.
SkillsUSA Minnesota is a Career & Technical Organization that provides leadership training, volunteer opportunities, competitions, and conferences to enhance students’ self-worth and employability skills. Winners of the state contests have the opportunity to go on to a national level competition.
